South Boys Basketball
The Bloomington High School South boy's basketball program is one of the more successful basketball programs in the state in recent years. Point guard [[Jordan Hulls], now playing for Indiana, led the team to the state championship in 2009 and they won 49 straight games before succumbing in 2010 in the regional championship to Jeffersonville.
In 2009 they were rated the #11 high school boy's team in the country, and defeated the #4 team Detroit County Day on Dec. 21.
- 2005 - 2006 starters: Cole Holmstrom, Jordan Root, Ben Chappell, Jordan Forney, and Jordan Brown
- 2008 - 2009 starters: Chaz Cooper, Erik Fromm, Spencer Turner, Jordan Hulls, and Dee Davis.
- 2009 - 2010 starters: Erik Fromm, Joey Forney, Matt Carlino, Dee Davis, and Spencer Turner.
Other strong teams include the 1999 version, with Jon Holmes on the roster, along with another Indiana All-Star, Kyle Hankins. That team also included Ross Freeman, Adam Schauble Jeremy McGlothlin.
They are coached by J.R. Holmes, in his 28th season.
