- A. Buskirk (postmaster), two doors north of the Orchard's Inn
- P. C. Dunning (attorney) in the west room of the Bloomington Hall, south side of the square
- Hunter & Legg (tailors) in the large brick building of Alexander Owens, on the north side of The Square
- Harrod Hunter (tailor), west side of the square, next to Hamill & McCorkle's Drug Store. (His shop was formerly owned by Ellis E. Sluss)
- J. B. Lowe (attorney) above the Globe Inn
- J. W. Truett & Co. (blacksmith) in the shop formerly occupied by Noah Harshbarger
