Bloom Marketing
Bloom Marketing is a telemarketing corporation that was spun off as a separate corporation from Finelight in 2006, although Finelight still owns the company. Bloom Marketing assists people who might be eligible for Medicare and attempts to enroll them in related insurance programs.
In 2007 the company had as many as 120 workers, with plans to quadruple that force, and moved into the former Teletron building.
In early 2008, the company was awarded a $400,000 dollar grant from the state of Indiana for employee training, and worked out a deal with Ivy Tech to provide the training. But in August of that year, more than 70 employees were laid off. Employees who were laid off were no longer eligible for the training.
