Bloomingpedia talk:Milestones

From Bloomingpedia

Chris Robb found a better way of tracking the numbering of new articles at

http://www.bloomingpedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Ancientpages&limit=1000&offset=0

Just increment the limit number to get more once we get past 1000.

It turns out that the Ancientpages special page shows the last time a page was edited, not the first. So I wrote an extension special page called Special:PageCreateOrder which tracks the article creation date and order properly. -- Mark 05:39, 8 March 2006 (GMT)

what to do when we get to 1000?

500 is awesome and I'll use it as an excuse to raise a pint to our awesomeness. When we get to 1000, we need to do something special. Use this space for discussion. :-) I vote for elephants marching down Kirkwood. Just because. --Chrobb

Article order changes, should we adjust?

There are a few Bloomingpedia related pages (help and editing, etc) that have been moved from the main name space into other name spaces since we've hit some of these milestones. This has caused some articles that made milestones to actually change in order. For instance, Finelight was the 300th article, but now when you look on the Special:PageCreateOrder page its ranked 298th now. So this leads to the question, should we change the milestones page to reflect the new order? -- Mark 00:06, 26 June 2006 (EDT)

Nah. I think it's fine where it is. As long as we've noted it here, I don't think it's a huge deal. Moving forward, we can just continue to use the main namespace numbers and pretend those other articles don't exist. :-D -Chrobb 07:25, 26 June 2006 (EDT)
Ok, if we go that way then, I'd like to move any other articles that should be in other name spaces now. I'll take care of that. -- Mark 07:57, 26 June 2006 (EDT)
