Brian Krecik
Brian Krecik was born in Hammond, Indiana in 1967. He lived and worked in Merrillville, Indiana until he went to college at the age of 23. He began his studies in Biochemistry and into the beginning of his fourth year of school changed majors to Anthropology. His interests reside in cultural perspectives and oral traditions, historical perspectives. After graduating from Indiana University, he went on to teach English in both Korea and Japan for a couple of years where he met his wife, Sun-hee Noh. Upon returning to the states, he began work as a Computer Analyst creating dynamic web application for such companies as AIS Network, Zurich North America and Indiana University.
During the next 13 years he never lost sight of his first true passion. In 2010, he began work on his Masters in Fine Art with the Academy of Art. He is currently pursuing his degree in Photography and volunteers at the Mathers Museum of World Culture. While he began his work photographing landscapes, nature, buildings and creating art with his camera, he has started to turn his camera to creating portraits with a unique vision and focus.
