The CT-100 (also called "The Merrill") was the first color television set produced for consumers in the United States. It was manufactured by RCA at their plant in Bloomington. The picture tube was 15 inches but it had only an 11.5 inch viewable picture size. It cost $1000 at the time which is $7000 in terms of 2007 dollars.
