Drunk and Unpublished

Drunk and Unpublished was a poetry series organized by Ian Uriel Girdley to feature a wide variety of local Bloomington poets. The Drunk and Unpublished featured reading series was held at Box Car Books and featured poets who had not been published or did not normally get invited to perform at featured readings, thus creating an outlet for more poets and bringing a more diverse spectrum of poetry to the stage. Drunk and Unpublished also held Random Acts of Poety events, a guerilla poetry event consisting of meeting at public places and holding an impromptu open mic without prior notice to the venue. The Random Acts of Poetry events were held at the College Mall and Wal-Mart as well as various places in or around downtown.
