El Ranchero is a Mexican restaurant a little outside of Bloomington in the direction of Ellettsville. They offer a range of the usual Mexican foods, as well as a bar, in a well-lit, open restaurant.
They have a basic vegetarian section in their menu, and many of their foods are available vegetarian (although some may use meat in the sauces or oil without meat ingredients). They also offer All You Can Eat specials. As of early 2010, Monday has all-you-can-eat Enchiladas ($6.99), Tuesday Tacos as well as $2 Margaritas, and Thursday Quesadillas ($7.99). They also have a small party room that can be reserved for groups.
The restaurant is located in a strip mall on SR 46 northwest of Bloomington next to Orscheln Home and Farm Store. There is also a sister restaurant in Spencer.
