Forgotten Treasures Used Books was located in Eagles Landing Mall on State Road 46 in Ellettsville. The staff consisted of one person George Morrison he did all the buying, shelving, selling and is sole proprietor of Forgotten Treasures Used Books. So he had a good understanding of his collection and if he did not have it or if you were not sure of the title or author he would try to use the internet to get an answer for you.
Forgotten Treasures Used Books was a general used book store whose book categories include art, automotive, children's, cooking, educational, foreign language, history, new age, poetry, religion, science, self help and more. In addition to books they carry some journals, magazines, pamphlets, Cd's & videos.
The condition of the collection overall was very good and consisted of about 50% hard cover and about 60% nonfiction.
History
The store started in the early 90's as a booth in Linton in what was then called Danner & Co. Followed by about 7 years in Loogootee first as a booth in another mall. Then as Forgotten Treasures used books, furniture, and more. The last location Forgotten Treasures had in Loogootee was a used book store with a few collectibles on US 50. Then in September 2003 Forgotten Treasures moved into a small room upstairs at Eagles Landing where it stayed for almost 2 years. In August 2005 after out growing the room upstairs Forgotten Treasures Used Books moved to its last location Eagles Landing Rm 117 200 East Association Street Ellettsville before finally closing in 2009.
