Ian C. Rogers (born August 29, 1972) was a student at Indiana University Bloomington in 1993. Since then he has been involved at the core of the digital music revolution by working at places like Nullsoft (Creators of WinAmp and Shoutcast), Yahoo! Music, Topspin Media, Beats Music and led the creation of Beats 1 in Apple Music.
In 1993 while studying Computer Science at IU, he created an early Internet music streaming program that worked from a NeXTStep computer, streaming to a remote computer on another side of campus using the MP2 (predecessor to MP3) music format.
