InterSource

From Bloomingpedia
(Redirected from Intersource)

InterSource was a local Internet Service Provider owned by Compusource, which mainly provided dial-up access in the early 1990s. The company started in January of 1995, about a week after Bluemarble started up. The company was purchased in 1996 by the Herald Times, and transformed into Kiva Networking.

Domain name

The domain intersource.com was used by the company and Kiva continued using the domain as an alias for their own kiva.net domain. The domain itself was popular enough that Kiva received offers to buy it during the first dot-com boom for as much as $15,000. They kept the domain however until 2004, when it seems that it was sold to a domain broker and later to a company in Pennsylvania.
