Michael McNeely
Michael S. McNeely was athletic director of Indiana University in 2001 and 2002. Replacing Clarence Doninger, McNeely came to IU from the San Diego Chargers where he was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He previously was the athletic director at the University of the Pacific, Director of Operations for the NCAA, a Compliance and Enforcement Representative for the NCAA, an Assistant Football Coach at the University of Colorado, and a licensed attorney graduating from the University of Oklahoma Law School.
He resigned after refusing to cover up previous financial deficits in the athletic department as uncovered by a 2002 financial audit report.
McNeely was born around 1954. He is married and has three children.
