Nicole Bruce

Nicole has been involved with numerous theatrical productions around the Bloomington area as an actor, director and designer.

Some of her past acting roles include Feste/Groucho in Twelfth Night(MCCT), The Porter in Macbeth (IU), Mistress Quickly in The Merry Wives of Windsor (MCCT), Teiresias in The Bacchai, Dunyasha in The Cherry Orchard (IU), Electra in The Flies, Yinnie and Marlo in Two by Thomas (JWAC), Alizon in Maleficia, Leslie in Cookie Bites the Ninja, Kate in Kate Crackernuts, Dr. Durschwitz in The Mime Crime (BPP), the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet (Jolly Roger Sideshow) and The Merry Wives of Windsor as Mistress Quickly (MCCT).

Design credits

Some of her past design credits include Romeo and Juliet (Jolly Roger Sideshow); Accidental Rapture, Slow Boat to China, and Scrooge Variations (BPP); The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth (BPP's YTE).

Nicole completed her 5th year with the YTE program (now YSC) this past summer. She began as an assistant director and costume designer for 2001’s The Tempest. Her first year directing YTE, was for the production of Romeo and Juliet, additionally designing the costumes and set as well. Nicole has been involved with the Bloomington Playwrights Project education programs for over 5 years now, working as a YTE and SODA instructor as well as Mini Plays director. She wil return as an assistant director and costume designer for YTE's 2007 summer program, Taming of the Shrew.
