Oliver Winery
Oliver Winery is a winery located a few miles north of Bloomington on SR 37. Oliver Winery offers free wine tasting daily, and tours of the winery on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Oliver participates in the Indiana Uplands wine trail.
History
Oliver Winery was one of the first wineries in Indiana after prohibition and its founder William Oliver helped create some of the laws governing wineries in the state, such as being able to sell wine on Sundays. It opened to the public in the spring of 1972. William Oliver's son Bill Oliver took over operation of the winery in 1983. In 1994, Oliver Winery established Creekbend Vineyard a short distance from the winery.
