Packing House Road
From Bloomingpedia
Packing House Road is a small road close to Hensonburg. Starting at the intersection of Vernal Pike and Woodyard Road, it follows a rail spur north for about half a mile before terminating at the SR 46 / SR 37 interchange.
It is so named due to the old Winterlean meat packing house located at 1999 Packing House Road, which was home to MasterKraft Packaging in the 90's, followed by On Target Paintball, one of the few indoor paintball arenas in Indiana.
The Bloomington Work Release Center was located on the road, and a quarry is situated at the end of it. The Bloomington Post of the Indiana State Police (District 33) relocated there, as well.
