Perring Family
In 1892 John E. Borland bought 80 acres of land in Perry Township from Ezra Perring.
[[Ezra Perring Sr. (Jan. 28th, 1816 - Apr. 25th, 1898), was born in England and moved to a farm on Rockport Road three miles southwest of Bloomington in 1833. Six years later he married Maria Carter. They had at least five children: Irvin Perring, Mrs. H.F. Perry, Mrs. R.S. Winslow, S.C. Perring, and Ezra Perring Jr.
Alfred Perring (1833?-1908), was presumably Ezra's brother. He also came to Bloomington as a child and was a farmer in the county all his life. He had at least five children: Mrs. Ella P. Blewett, A. H. Perring, Jr., Clinton C. Perring, Mrs. Charlotte Short, and Charles K. Perring.
Clinton C. Perring (1861?-1912) was probably married twice; first to a daughter of Thomas Randall who died in 1905, and later to Sallie Adams. He died of apoplexy while hauling a load of stone to his new residence south of town and fell from his wagon on the Jackson Creek bridge.
