Philip K. Buskirk

Philip K. Buskirk (Sep. 11, 1860 - August 22, 1907) was a late 19th Century Bloomington lawyer and businessman. He was the president of the First National Bank and the Empire Stone Company.
The son of George A. and Martha A. (Hardesty) Buskirk, he graduated from the state university in 1884. Originally involved in lumber, he and three others began a partnership called Perry, Matthews & Buskirk and developed the Horseshoe Quarry. They were later able to sell the quarry for more than half a million dollars.
Buskirk married the former Tunie Hays in 1892 and they had one son, Hays Buskirk.
