Road construction projects in and around Bloomington. Projects that aren't work on a street should be included in the Construction Projects article.
The amount of road work and closures in 2012 was quite significant, it was common to be stuck in traffic and adding 10-30 minutes to typical travel time going nearly anywhere in Bloomington.
- SR 46 bypass widening continues
- Closure of 17th Street at the bypass intersection for several weeks.
- Closure of 10th Street at the bypass intersection for several weeks.
- Rebuilt intersection at 3rd street and SR 46.
- Closure of Sare Road between Hillside Drive and Rogers Road for several weeks.
- Finished 3rd Street widening on west side.
- Entrance ramp to SR 37 northbound at SR 45 rebuilt.
- New crosswalk light at Winslow Road between Walnut Street and Rogers Street.
- Road work and closure of road in front of IU SRSC for several weeks.
- July 9th - July 13th - Construction on Pete Ellis Drive between the Woodbridge Post Office and Staples. Road closed.
- Road work on College Avenue between 3rd Street and 2nd Street.
- August 13th - August 22nd - Kirkwood Avenue between College Avenue and Walnut Street is stripped and refinished with new blacktop.

- 3rd Street between The Bypass and SR 446 is being resurfaced in the first half of May 2008
- Fess Avenue is closed between Atwater Avenue and 3rd Street due to construction of a parking garage
- The south sidewalk of 10th Street between Sunrise Drive and Union Street was closed while it was being rebuilt in June 2006. This is in part due to demolition at the Ashton Center residence hall at Indiana University. Traffic on 10th Street is back to two-way operation after several weeks of detours and one-way operation (June 2006).
- Roundabout being constructed on Tapp Road at Adams Street.
- Finished west side SR 46 upgrade.
