The Starlite Drive-in is located southwest of Bloomington at 7640 S Old State Road 37. From Downtown, simply drive south on Walnut Street, across the main Highway 37, and onto Old Highway 37. Continue on Old 37 approximately two miles and look for the entrance on the right (west) side of the highway.
Starlite has a full concession stand, including, popcorn, sodas, candy, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, and other items.
The Starlite represents one of the dwindling numbers of old-fashioned drive-in movie theaters in the United States, and as such represents an important cultural landmark in Monroe County.
The Starlite specializes in double features, offering two first run movies during the summer months. The first movie starts at dusk. There is typically a 15-minute intermission between movies. Audio is available through your auto's sound system by tuning to a specific radio station.
