Steve Huse

From Bloomingpedia

Steve Huse is the founder of Noble Roman's pizza restaurants. He is an Indiana University graduate and has opened many restaurants in Indiana.

After graduation from IU in 1966, he bought an Arby's restaurant on 3rd Street in 1967, and two years later bought a Little Caesar's on the back of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Afterwards he purchased two more Caesar's franchises, and later renamed all three to Noble Roman's. The company was worth more than $25 million by 1978, but in the early 80's Huse's wife suffered a stroke and he became less involved in day-to-day operations.

In the mid-80's a power struggle between Huse and Noble Roman's president Paul Mobley ended with Huse's resignation from the board. He later formed the Huse Food Group, which operates 11 Arby's in Indiana, St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis, and Kenny Rogers in Columbus and Kokomo.

Huse also founded Mustard's and brought Miami Subs and Checkers to Bloomington.
