I'm under the impression that this church owns the property that the U.S. Post Office on 4th street sits on. There was some debate a few years back about the church possibly exercising rights on the property as expansion room. I don't recall the particulars, and I could be incorrect.
Also, on the church's website history page, it indicates that a pamphlet detailing the history of the building is available from the church office. One of us should go down there and get it, along with permission to use material from the pamphlet for publication here. --Opus 23:24, 17 March 2006 (GMT)
