Classical Film & Music
What was the name of that really good video store in here? Classic film and something? I used to go there all the time, it probably went under when I left in '95. --Jkonrath 15:44, 5 May 2006 (EDT)
- Or Pix, I can't remember the actual spelling. It closed sometime around 2004-2005. Ladybugs Gifts & Decor now resides in that space. Chris 15:55, 5 May 2006 (EDT)
- Classical Film & Music. It closed in 2000 I think. Banana Junction Toys is located there now. The owner was getting older and didn't want to run it anymore. I think a lot of the stuff that they had was donated to Indiana State University and maybe IU too. I think the main manager Jeff (can't remember his last name) was trying to raise the funds to buy the store. Kevin Beauchamp, who was one of the managers there up too the point it closed opened a video store called Classic Pyx in storefront that was right behind where Classical was located. Classic Pyx grew to a decent size and then Kevin decided that he didn't have time to do it anymore because he wanted to start Cybrcaf. -- Mark 16:00, 5 May 2006 (EDT)
- I had some friends that worked there in the late 90s. IIRC, they said that Classical Film was owned by some rich guy who had made a lot of dough selling software to the CIA. He ran the store at an extreme loss just because he enjoyed having a video store. Does that gel?-Chrobb 17:04, 7 May 2006 (EDT)
