Name Change Date

Phones

I wonder, what happened to the phone booth room off of the lobby? I always remember going to those booths to use the pay phones, but I'm guessing those are long gone in the cell phone era.

Also, I need to look this up, but in around 1991 or 1992, AT&T came out with this wiz-bang pay phone called the Public Phone 2000 that had a screen and keyboard, mostly to do TTY phone service for the deaf. No web access, and I thought it may have worked as a terminal, but never got it to work. They had one in the library, on the undergrad side outside of the UCS lab there.
