Well, I know a thing or two about this. *grin* Officially IU and IUPUI are one network now, under AS87. They used to be separate, but they're run as a single network thats multihomed in Bloomington and Indy. So, even though the ARIN designation may show 134.68.0.0 as beloning to IUPUI, it's IU-proper. Hmmm. IU doesn't have an class C's that I'm aware of. Maybe you're referring to some of the other networks in the article? I looked at the Kiva ones and I'd be surprised if they allocated discontinguous /24s with a single /24 gap between them. I suppose I could login to the campus routers and see what they're getting from the exchange point. That would be a good list of local peer IPs. Three network guys get in an article discussion about subnets........ If you're refering to the 206.97.64.0/?? that I put in the old blocks, I put the ?? there because I'm not sure how big it was. It was definately bigger than a /24 and I think it may have been a /20. Jay Nakamura would probably remember. I think that's the original block that Intersource had. You're right though, I don't think Kiva has any individual class Cs, they do swip class Cs and other subnets to their customers though, that's why you can find out that the 216.9.132.128/26 is subdelegated to Suso. Wow, I guess they have more than 3 class Bs. Had no idea they had 13 of them. That's also cool that IU's AS number is so low. I guess its not too surprising since it is a university, but still, AS numbers are up to like 40,000 now. But of course, playing this game we'd never live down that Purdue's number is 17.
