Question, is Tatar correct, or should that be Tartar? Chris Eller 17:56, 20 August 2006 (EDT)
- Two different things. Tartar usually refers to Manchu Tartar, or just Manchu. Tatar is used in Tatarstan, now part of European Russia. There's also a Crimean Tatar, which is similar to Tatar because they are both in the Kipchak family, but aren't mutually intelligible. --Jkonrath (talk) 14:43, 14 September 2019 (EDT)
