Are you sure the Furrow building was razed, and not just revamped?
I'm pretty sure. I remember it being further back from the road, under what is now the parking lot north of the current building. The structure is also really different, the Furrow building had its long axis going east-west while the current building parallels Liberty Drive along its long axis. It wasn't raised. I live off of W 45 and travel by that site just about every day. It was massively remodeled but not raised. There are also several mentions of the site being remodeled in the HT archives. --Jogoodma 22:24, 22 August 2008 (EDT)
Well then, I stand corrected. I'm not over there often, but it seems like it's totally different. I was looking around on GIS sites at IU to see if there were aerial images from the mid 1990s that would show the Furrow building to compare to current imagery; that would be the geeky thing to do. Alas, time was not on my side and I haven't found imagery from the '90s yet. But I would like to see a comparison if anyone is up for the task. Chris Eller 00:05, 24 August 2008 (EDT)
They were also previously in College Mall - not sure when, though. --Jkonrath 18:43, 19 September 2012 (EDT)
- A quick 34 years, according to a newspaper article I found. --Benfulton 21:20, 21 September 2012 (EDT)
