The Princess Diaries was a book written by Bloomington native and former IU student Meg Cabot in 2000. It was turned was turned into a popular Disney feature film in 2001. The book was on the New York Times Children's Series Best Sellers List for 38 weeks. It became part of a series of books which now includes 13 books.
