Unionville Post Office
The Unionville Post Office is one of Monroe County's nine post offices. Located at 8031 SR 45, it lies at the heart of the small town of Unionville in Benton Township, northeast of Bloomington. Built in a vernacular style of architecture around the year 1923, it was originally home to Brock's General Store. Today, it is the last historic commercial building in Unionville, and it is one of very few extant wood-frame commercial buildings in the county. In 1989, the Monroe County Interim Report gave the post office a rating of "outstanding", meaning that it was historic enough to deserve serious consideration for addition to the National Register of Historic Places.
