Woodhaven Estates
Overview
Woodhaven Estates is a neighborhood created on the west side of Bloomington in three phases from approximately 1987 to 1992. Most of the homes appear to have been built by Harmony Homes (a now defunct contractor), many of which boast an innovative wood foundation system. The intent was to create lasting, yet affordable homes.
The neighborhood comprises about 12 streets, including cul-de-sacs, a few community open spaces, and lots of trees. It is located between SR 37 and Leonard Springs Road. It is close to Monroe Hospital, Wal-Mart Supercenter, SR 37, and Leonard Springs Trail. This neighborhood currently falls within the Grandview Elementary, Batchelor Middle School, and Bloomington High School North districts.
