Charley Taylor

Charles E. (Charley) Taylor (1925-2005) was the president of Black Lumber from 1947 to 1989, and was Chairman Emeritus at his death. He was a respected retail lumberman throughout the state, having held offices in the Indiana State Lumberman's Association and twice was president of the Retail Lumbermen's Buying Group.
The son of Cecil E. Taylor and the former Martha Black, Taylor was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, earning a Silver Star, and a 65-year member of the First United Church (formerly the First Baptist Church), and also served on many charitable boards.
Taylor was married to the former Ethlyn Parry. They had two children.
