Indiana University Commencement

Indiana University performs two major commencement ceremonies during the year, one for fall semester graduates in December, and one for spring semester graduates in May. Generally, winter commencement is held in Assembly Hall and graduates almost 2000 students while spring commencement is held in Memorial Stadium, weather permitting, and graduates almost 6000 students.

Honors
Graduates with distinction wear a crimson cord on the shoulder. Graduates with high distinction wear a cream cord on the shoulder. Graduates with highest distinction wear both cream and crimson cords on the shoulder.
Spring Commencement

Winter Commencement
- 2007 - December 15th in Assembly Hall at 10:00 am.
