Lawrence Van Buskirk

Lawrence Van Buskirk (June 21, 1867 - November 21, 1910) was mayor of Bloomington in the late 19th century. He was also postmaster and a bank president.
He was the son of George A. and Martha A. (Hardesty) Buskirk and had two brothers and two sisters, one of whom married Nat U. Hill, Sr..
After graduating from Indiana University, Buskirk was twice elected mayor of the city, and then appointed postmaster three times, before accepting the presidency of the First National Bank.
On April 22, 1891, Buskirk married Alice Allen, and they had three children: Allen Van Buskirk, Lawrence Van Buskirk, Jr., and Martha A Buskirk.
