Letsinger-Will House

The Letsinger-Will House is a large private residence in the Vinegar Hill Historic District. Designed by architects Burns & James, the Tudor Revival style home was built in 1937 for Reed Letsinger, an attorney, cattleman and farmer, and bookkeeper of the Letsinger Coal Company. He sold the house in 1948 to Samuel Will, an Indiana University professor. The one and a half story, cross-gabled house is clad in rusticated limestone and its façade is dominated by a massive stone chimney.
Later residents included Branch McCracken and quarry owner Robert Reed.
