RootsCamp
RootsCamp is an open forum on any topic related to the Fall 2006 elections, including local, state and national races. Anyone can suggest a topic for discussion. Participants initiate conversations by (1) attending the event and (2) writing their discussion ideas on a whiteboard.
The primary goal will be to collectively answering the following:
- What did we learn in 2006?
- How can we apply those lessons in 2008 and beyond (See Politic Exchange)?
- What are our next steps to strengthen political engagement?
This is managed through many small conversations of interest to those in attendance. Come prepared to talk. Please register by adding your name to the attendee list, or email Kevin Makice.
While this is an implementation of a progressive idea, the Bloomington Roots Camp is not meant to be a "progressive" event in terms of political bias. The intent of this camp is to facilitate open discussion that includes all perspectives.
