Samuel C. Dodds

Samuel C. Dodds (January 28, 1854 - April 23, 1913) was an early Bloomington businessman.
The son of Clelland F. Dodds, Samuel was born in Bloomington and graduated from Indiana University in 1875. He ran a bookstore from 1876 to 1880 before trying his hand at the lumber business, forming a partnership with the Showers Brothers and Henry Henley. Eventually that company came to be named Dodds, Waldron, & Company, which employed 65 and manufactured more than 1500 chairs and tables weekly.
On October 17, 1878, Dodds was married to the former Nellie Winters.
