Straight No Chaser

From Bloomingpedia

Straight No Chaser is a men's a capella group formed at Indiana University in 1996 from members of the Singing Hoosiers.

In 2009 they released a Christmas album, "Christmas Cheers".

Dan Ponce was the initial founder, recruiting nine other members, and the group played around Bloomington, but gradually disintegrated as the members graduated. But in 2006, the band performed a reunion concert, and videos from the concert got a lot of attention on YouTube, resulting in a five-album contract with Atlantic Records. The first album was 2008's "Holiday Spirits", recorded in Bloomington's Airtime Studios.

The group has performed on the Today Show and has a PBS special.

Band members include Dave Roberts, Charles Mechling, Ryan Ahlwardt, and Walter Chase.
