Tao Restaurant

The Tao Restaurant was located at 519 E. 10th Street. It was one of the enterprises of Rudrananda Ashram, which was led by J. Michael Shoemaker, a.k.a. Swami Chetanananda. The Tao was the first vegetarian restaurant in Bloomington. Rudi's Bakery was located in the same complex of buildings. These businesses operated roughly from 1971 to 1982.
