Projects Portal?
- The first RootsCamp came and went with few attendees, but lots of quality in the participants and conversation. One of the outcomes of the conversation is a need to have some central, reliable information portals. Bloomingpedia, if it follows the Wikipedia model, would certainly be a good main source for information about the city, but is there a place for something beyond that? For all of Monroe County? For political and community projects? Is there room for a local blogger aggregate, and integration with other forums? Any thoughts on this? --Kevin 10:15, 22 November 2006 (EST)
Kevin, this is a discussion that is suited for the Bloomingpedia Fora, http://forums.bloomingpedia.org/ . On the fora, lots of people can have a discussion about the topics you bring up here. You should start a thread in one of the fora and get some input from a variety of sources. Chris Eller 14:50, 22 November 2006 (EST)
I want to save you some work. I like the idea, but I think it should be in template form and maybe use some logic to fill in the years. This will also allow us to change the way it looks later without having to edit all the years. And by saving you work I mean that I can write a script that will add the template to each of the year headings. If you can finalize a style, I can convert it into a template. Or if you want to do both that's great too. Thanks for your help Kevin. -- Mark 08:43, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
