- Len S. Fields buys the blacksmith shop of Frank Dobson on west 4th Street for $1,500.
- H.T. Smallwood, in poor health, sells a building at 4th Street and Walnut Street, along with several houses.
- William Carmichael and D. J. Kinser start a real estate business in Harrodsburg, handling stone and farm lands.
- C. C. Croy and Stephen McPhetridge move a seventeen ton boiler from the railroad depot to Indiana University. It was moved on a sled pulled by ten horses.
- The Dobson blacksmith shop on 4th Street is rented as a work house for prisoners in the county jail.
