- 4th - The Bloomington City Council votes to allow the land around Weimer Lake to be used as a Boy Scout camp.
- John Robinson reopens the Reed Laundry on south Lincoln Street. He formerly was connected with the Home Laundry.
- Homer Montgomery and Frank Medaris buy the Hunt Grocery on West 6th Street.
- Mrs. Mary Malicoat takes over the Monon Yards Restaurant. She had formerly been employed at the Tourner Hotel.

The directors of the new Farmers' State Bank are announced: John S. Curry, Harvey Stephenson, Emsley Stanger, Claude Rankin, C. C. Smallwood, William Coursen, and Milton Williams. James B. Wilson is the attorney. The capital stock was $50,000.
