James Holland
Dr. James Edwin Parker Holland (1876 - 1938) was a prominent Bloomington physician. Born in Canada, he received his M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine (at that time the Indiana Medical College) in 1906.
He was a member of the State Board of Medical Registration and Examination, as well as a member of Sigma Chi and the Phi Beta Pi medical fraternity. He was also an organizer of the Bloomington Rotary Club, the Bloomington Country Club, and the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, and served as president of all three organizations.
Dr. Holland served in the medical corps of the army in World War I.
Dr. Holland married the former Beryl Showers and they had one child, Dr. Charles Holland.
